How did Mike Tyson changed Rapper Tony Yayo’s life

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has once again made headlines, this time for changing the life of rapper Tony Yayo. During a recent episode of Tyson’s Hotboxin podcast, Yayo shared a story about how Tyson’s words of wisdom at a party helped him to expand his horizons and change the course of his life.

On his recent Hotboxin podcast, sitting with Tyson, Rapper Yayo stated, “I always told you. You don’t even remember that you changed my mind. Like it was a party, it was me, 50, Serena, Venus, and you were there. Pretty shy and I was there that night and caviar was coming around. I was like what is that I left the hood, I was in southside jamaica, and told me expand your horizons. Ever since then I ate caviar.”

According to Yayo, he was at a party with Tyson, along with 50 Cent and tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams. Caviar was being served, and Yayo, who had grown up in Southside Jamaica, was hesitant to try it. That’s when Tyson stepped in, telling Yayo to “expand his horizons.” Yayo took the advice to heart and has been eating caviar ever since.

So let this be a lesson to us all: the next time we’re faced with something unfamiliar or outside of our comfort zone, let’s take a page out of Tony Yayo’s book and “expand our horizons.” Who knows what kind of opportunities and experiences we may discover along the way? And who knows who we may inspire to do the same?
