MI vs SRH in IPL 2021: Jonny Bairstow in beast mode, slams 4 consecutive boundaries; Watch– Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Jonny Bairstow, who opened the batting for SRH for the first time in IPL 2021, smacked 4 consecutive boundaries in the 3rd over. He scored 4,4,6 followed by a four. He has opened the batting in place of Wriddhiman Saha who failed to deliver in the first two matches. Earlier he has slammed 55 runs in the opening match of IPL 2021 for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the fixture, one of his sixes ended up breaking the glass.

In the first six overs, SRH scored 57 runs for no loss while chasing 151 to win their first match of IPL 2021.

He reached 40 off just 15 balls that included 3 fours and 4 sixes. The 31-year-old was finally dismissed (hit-wicket) for 43 off 22 balls.

The third over was bowled by Trent Boult but Jonny Bairstow was in no mood to stop himself from attacking the Kiwi bowler.

In the match,  Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma played knocks of 40 and 32, but SunRisers Hyderabad managed to maintain a stranglehold as Mumbai Indians was restricted to 150/5 in the allotted twenty overs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match here at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya remained unbeaten on 35 and 3 respectively for the Mumbai Indians while Vijay Shankar returned with two wickets for SunRisers Hyderabad.

Earlier today, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first.
