MI vs SRH in IPL 2021: After 3 years wait, Adam Milne finally makes Mumbai Indians debut – New Zealand pacer Adam Milne is finally making his debut for MI after a long wait of three years with the squad. He was bought as a replacement in 2018 and then re-purchased for Rs 3.2 crore. He received his cap from Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma ahead of MI vs SRH.

Milne has experience of 110 T20 matches under his belt with 124 wickets at an economy rate of 7.69.

The Kiwi bowler is rewarded for his excellent performance against Bangladesh where he picked 3 wickets in 2 T20Is.

He had previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 5 matches but failed to leave a mark. The 29-year-old picked 5 wickets in 4 matches that he has played in IPL.

At the time of the toss, Rohit said: “We are gonna bat first. Very hard to predict, looks like a good track but we will only get to know when the game progresses. Looks a bit sluggish though. We have made one change. We understand the conditions and it’s very important to back your skills. The last game was good for us. Adam Milne comes in place of Jansen.”

Adam Milne provides another pacy option to Mumbai Indians, alongside Jasprit Bumrah. He played a key role for New Zealand in the 2015 World Cup and was an important member of the Kiwi ODI and T20 teams around that time. After losing his way in international cricket, he seems to be getting back into form.
