Jamieson was bought by RCB for Rs 15 crore in IPL 2021 auction. Besides bowling talent, Kyle Jamieson can be a handy batsman down the lower order.

In the match, RCB restricted MI to 159/9 in 20 overs. Opening batsman and MI debutante Chris Lynn scored 49 off 35 balls while Harshal Patel scalped 5 wickets. Earlier, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first in IPL 2021 opener.

Kyle Jamieson is an exciting pacer to feature in the IPL 2021. He wanted to become a batsman but his coach advised him to a bowler. The 6.5-inch tall pacer had scalped the wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli is only Test against India. He later went on to pick two five-wicket hauls against Pakistan. Later he returned with figures of 6-7 for Canterbury against Wellington on 2019 New Year’s Day.

He had chosen to sleep over IPL 2021 auction but could not contain his excitement only to find himself one of the expensive buys of the upcoming season.
