MI vs RCB: Chris Lynn shines in 1st game itself after sitting the entire IPL 2020 on the bench- Mumbai Indians opening batsman Chris Lynn, who received his MI cap from skipper Rohit Sharma, is playing an excellent knock in the IPL 2021 opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In his innings, he scored 49 runs off just 35 balls which included 3 sixes and 4 boundaries. After Rohit’s early dismissal in the IPL 2021 opener, Lynn ensured MI get to a top start. The Aussie batsman also shared a 50-run partnership with No. 3 batsman SuryaKumar Yadav. He was caught and bowled to Washington Sundar in the 13th over.
Last year, Chris Lynn did not play a single game for the defending champions in the UAE. The Australian batsman was bought for Rs 2 crore in IPL 2020. In his 42 IPL matches, Lynn has scored over 1300 runs, which also includes 10 fifties.

In the match, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and has opted to bowl first against Mumbai Indians in the opening game of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Besides Lynn, South Africa bowler Marco Jansen also made his MI debut in the IPL 2021 opening match.
