LPL 2020: Galle Gladiators skipper Shahid Afridi on Wednesday announced that he will be returning home to attend to his ailing daughter. The former Pakistan international took to Twitter to convey the message to his fans. According to Afridi, once the personal emergency is handled he may return to Sri Lanka.
He wrote: “Unfortunately I have a personal emergency to attend to back home. I will return to join back my team at LPL immediately after the situation is handled. All the best”.
The Lankan Premier League later informed that the reason Afridi will be going back is because “his daughter has been admitted to hospital”.
The LPL 2020 franchise has not only lost their first 3 games of the league but now has lost their captain Shahid Afridi.
