Liverpool showed just why they are one of the title favourites this season with a brilliant 4-0 win over Arsenal.

Anfield was rocking after two weeks of the international break but despite some heavy pressing in the opening exchanges, Liverpool couldn’t find a way through Arsenal’s stout defence. The biggest bit of drama from the first half came on the sidelines as Jürgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta squared up to each other with the fourth official having to separate the two managers. But with just five minutes to go Sadio Mané latched on to a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold and headed into the back of the net.

Into the second half and Liverpool got their second as Diogo Jota jinked past two defenders and cooly rounded the goalkeeper from close range. The Reds smelled blood now and got their third on 74 minutes as Mané raced in on goal before squaring for Mohamed Salah and a fourth soon after through Takumi Minamino.
