He says that in his last video to the community he did not address the fans in these regions and took this time to address them now.
He outlines that Coivd-19 has presented them with very unique challenges in launching this global competitive mobile game with unprecedented server and infrastructure needs.
He went on to say that Covid19 has them grounded and unable to travel creating complications in dealing with every regions unique set of requirements, making it impossible to set up new service sites and locations.
Micheal Chow said. “It has become a much more complex and multi-faceted problem to bring service to your regions in particular,” Chow said. He added that rushing the game isn’t a solution because that could make players face a lot of problems and may require an entire reset of the game’s servers. “It does suck and we are sorry,” he admitted.
Chow then addressed player concerns in these regions, regarding losing time to earn champions for competitive pool to grind and reach leader boards. He said “ we will be implementing ways for players to get a bunch of champions to close that time gap”, he added that all of Riot is working towards getting the game in these regions as early as possible. League of Legends Wild Rift will be entering an open beta in several regions of the world on Oct. 27. Riot Games plans to launch it in Europe, Oceania, and most parts of Asia in early December.
