Atlético are due to play Rayo Vallecano at home on Sunday. Rayo’s manager Andoni Iraola and a large part of the squad have also tested positive this week. Nine Barcelona players have tested positive for COVID-19 while Real Madrid star players Vinicius Junior, Courtois, Valverde and Camavinga have contracted the virus.
PCR tests confirm five first team positive cases.

After the LaLiga Christmas break, the entire first team squad and the members of the coaching staff underwent PCR tests, in accordance with the LaLiga protocol. Simeone, Koke, Griezmann, Herrera and Joao Félix have tested positive for COVID-19.
All of them are asymptomatic and isolating at their respective homes, in strict compliance with the health authorities’ guidelines.
Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Jr have tested positive for COVID-19, the club said in a statement on Wednesday. Sergiño Dest, Philippe Coutinho, Ez Abde, Jordi Alba, Lenglet and Dani Alves are the Barcelona players that have tested positive for COVID-19. Barcelona have 15 players out due to injury and self-isolation.
