Rahul and Athiya to tie knots in Jan 2023?
If the reports are to be believed, Athiya and Rahul could be potentially tying knots in January 2023. The couple have been one of the celebrated personalities for a while. Athiya is the Daughter of Bollywood star Suniel Shetty while the star cricketer has captained India on multiple occasions in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
If the reports do turn into reality then, Rahul could be heading into the World Cup in 2023 with Athiya on his side.
Athiya partners Rahul in Germany-
- After diagnosing a Sports hernia, Rahul was forced to go under the knife and traveled to Munich in June.
- Both were seen together in Germany as well as on their way to the airport as they boarded the flights.
- The couple were also spotted when they returned back to India from Germany.
While the romours have been surfacing in the media, recently Suniel Shetty was asked if the family had started preparations for the said wedding by Radio Mirchi, he responded, “No, nothing has been planned yet!”
A week before this, Athiya’s brother Ahan Shetty had said to Dainik Bhaskar, “As far as the wedding is concerned, there are no arrangements being made. There is no such ceremony, these are all rumours. When there is no wedding, how can we give you a date?”

Rahul included in West Indies series despite injury
Rahul has recently been struggling with injury and frequently attended the treatment table. Rahul was forced to pull out of the Indian squad on the eve of the T20 series against South Africa in June. He missed the Kanpur Test in November 2021 and had to be replaced in the final moments. Rahul has been included in the Indian squad that will play the West Indies in limited-overs format, but is facing race against time to be fit.
