Conor McGregor vs Jorge Masvidal: UFC news: 11th-ranked welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal will make his return at UFC 287 and take on Gilbert Burns in a fight that can resurrect his career once again. Having lost all three of his last fights, Jorge Masvidal needs to vanquish Burns at any cost and shouldn’t focus on anybody else other than ‘Durinho’. However, ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal is still interested in facing Conor McGregor. Follow UFC News Updates with InsideSport.IN.

In a chat with the MMA Hour, Masvidal shed his views on facing ‘Notorious’ and explained why the potential super-fight hasn’t taken place yet.

The BMF champion said, “I want Conor [McGregor] but Conor doesn’t want me. It su*** you know. He just doesn’t want it. Every time the UFC’s brought it up, he has shut it down. I don’t know why. I think I am bigger. I think I am quicker than him. We both know I hit harder than him. I get it. Stylistically, it’s not the best for him or his brand.”

Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal are two of the biggest PPV draws in the UFC. They can stage a massive blockbuster at the Box Office by locking horns. That said, Masvidal shall get past Gilbert Burns first, or else it can be sheerly dangerous for his upcoming path.

Conor McGregor is yet to announce his return officially. After consecutive losses to Dustin Poirier in 2021, he has been out of action. Upon returning, we can expect ‘Notorious’ to move up to 170 lbs (welterweight).

Conor McGregor had his last UFC fight at 155 lbs (lightweight). He touted a potential fourth clash against Dustin Poirier after suffering the ankle break at UFC 264. Although that fight may not happen soon. McGregor can opt to face Michael Chandler, Justin Gaethje, or any of the A-listed lightweight. But McGregor’s current physical frame doesn’t cite him to be competing at 155 lbs.
