Jorge Masvidal return: UFC news: ‘Gambred’ aka Jorge Masvidal is set to make his UFC return and has assured about it in a recent tweet. Having lost all of his last three outings, Masvidal desperately needs a win on his resume. Jorge Masvidal wrote, ‘Big fight news coming soon’

35-16 as a pro, Jorge Masvidal is currently the 11th-ranked welterweight contender in the promotion. He is far from getting a crack at the 170 lbs gold anytime soon. However, that wouldn’t prevent him from sealing a big money fight.

Conor McGregor is possibly looking for a UFC return too and has lost his last two fights against Dustin Poirier at lightweight. His current physique looks way big to be that of a lightweight fighter. If McGregor moves up to 170 lbs, there is a high chance that he faces Jorge Masvidal.

Jorge Masvidal UFC return: Can we see another resurrection from Gamebred?

Jorge Masvidal rose to sheer prominence in 2019, a phase that turned him into a superstar. Following a brief lay-off, the American fighter made his comeback against Darren Till in Till’s home country London in March 2019. Donning a new look with long hair and a beard, Jorge Masvidal called it a resurrection of his career.

Despite being dominated in the first round, Masvidal landed a whopping right left to knock Till out cold. He then faced an undefeated Ben Askren, just to land a five-second KO win. Masvidal’s win over Askren is still the fastest KO in the promotion, which turned ‘Gamebred’ into a household figure.

With Nate Diaz calling out Jorge Masvidal for the ‘Baddest Mother F****’ tag, Dana White unveiled a one-time BMF belt for the title. Masvidal outclassed Diaz throughout the night and scored a doctor stoppage win to earn the BMF belt.

His MMA journey has gone on downhill since then with two losses against Kamaru Usman and one against Colby Covington. It remains to be seen whether the BMF champion can turn his fate in 2023.
