Two pleasant encounters for Zaheer Khan on Wednesday. One beginning of a new inning of his personal life along with his newly engaged fiancé, Sagarika Ghatge. Second he might soon be starting second inning of his career by joining Team India as bowling coach. He officially announces the engagement with his love Sagrika Ghatke; and there comes the news of him being recommended for a re-association with his first love, Cricket. Team India head coach Anil Kumble and captain Virat Kohli have recommended Zaheer’s name for bowling coach of the Indian cricket team.

Zaheer Khan and the Bollywood actress, Sagarika have got engaged in a star-studded night in Mumbai. “Zak secretly planned our engagement for days; and I honestly had no clue. I had no idea that he had picked up such a pretty ring for me. I can’t describe that moment and it will forever remain as something very special between us. We are really blessed,” Sagarika was quoted as saying by The Times Of India.

The special night was made more special for the couple. Fellow cricket stars were present to bestow their wishes upon the couple. Many players took to social media to commemorate the night. While others enjoyed while posing for media.

Zaheer KhanThere is yet another reason to rejoice. Present Indian Coach Anil Kumble has recommended Zaheer Khan as the first choice for Team India’s job.

Anil Kumble during the current Indian coach’s meeting with office-bearers of the BCCI and members of the Committee of Administrators (CoA) in Hyderabad on May 21, proposed Zaheer’s name for the job.
Apparently, Zaheer was approached by BCCI to be the India bowling coach last year too. But both the parties couldn’t reach a consensus on the terms and conditions of his contract. At that time, Zaheer didn’t want to join the team on a full-time basis and had asked for Rs 4 crore for 100 days’ service in a year, which the Board felt was too expensive deal.

Harbhajan Singh has also echoed the same opinion and took to his twiiter account. He tweeted,”@ImZaheer would be the best option for indian fast bowling coach in my opinion..Great mind #Greatfella”
