Italy’s EURO Win Parade: Giorgio Chiellini-led Italy champions received a hero’s welcome as they paraded around Rome with the winning trophy on Monday. The star footballers along with Wimbledon semifinalist Matteo Berrettini were greeted by President Sergio Mattarella. Head coach Roberto Mancini presented his own signed shirt to Mattarella. The players and Berrettini posed with the President. Notably, Mattarella was joined by Berrettini at Wembley Stadium to witness history as Italy won the Euro title after 53 years.

Italy champions were welcomes at Quirinale Palace in Rome to present the trophy. Captain Chiellini posed with the President with Euro 2020 trophy while Berrettini accompanied his Wimbledon runners-up title.

The champions then took the streets in an open bus and were greeted by thousands of Italian fans on their way.

Italy and England moved into extra time in their Euro 2020 final with the score level at 1-1 after 90 minutes at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Italy won the European Championship for the first time since 1968 as Gianluigi Donnarumma saved two England penalties en route to a 3-2 shootout win after the teams had fought out a 1-1 extra-time draw at a raucous Wembley.
