Earlier this year, the 16-time world champion had talks with WWE for his WrestleMania return. Also, he received a blessing from Vince McMahon himself. As reported earlier, the Prototype’s WrestleMania appearance was discussed and it was rather confirmed for a potential match.

Unfortunately, WWE fans might miss John Cena due to his upcoming movie shoot in Melbourne, Australia. Recently, he flew to Australia for his upcoming movie with Oscar-winning director Peter Farrelly. A recent report from Variety gave an update on Cena’s schedule for the next few months which is quite hectic for him with a big project.
“Peter Farrelly, director of Oscar-winning film “Green Book,” will start production of his long-awaited “Ricky Stanicky” next month. The picture will shoot in Melbourne, Australia where the film’s two stars Zac Efron and John Cena have now arrived.”
It seems John Cena would hardly make it to WrestleMania with his big movie shoot in Melbourne. As noted, he won’t be around for WWE’s Road to WrestleMania as well. Although the US Champion Austin Theory continued his tease for Cena vs Theory, it is yet to be locked for WrestleMania 39.
Earlier this week, Triple H gave an update on The Rock who won’t be in fine shape to compete until April which already dishearten the fans. With two superstars possibly failing to appear at WrestleMania, WWE had to bring a lot of things to the table for Mania. Currently, WWE has a choice to bring back Stone Cold Steve Austin which would give a boost to the SoFi Stadium show.
