Sky Sports has regained the India Premier League television rights for the UK and Ireland in a three-year contract with the IPL host broadcasters Star Sports. Sky Sports subscribers in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch LIVE all the 60 IPL matches exclusively on the Comcast broadcast network’s sports channel.

IPL generates a huge  interest in the UK for the presence of England’s top cricketers and the league’s fan following among the expatriate Indian community.

The tournament sees the greatest players in the world join forces with local favourites including Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma; a total of 12 English players will be involved, including Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler.

“Sky Sports’ cricket coverage – still trying to catch its breath from a stunning 2019 – goes from strength to strength for the year ahead. We’re thrilled to add the IPL to an already busy cricketing calendar for 2020 joining events such as the ICC Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cup’s from Australia.
