IPL 2023 Auction: Preity Zinta and Punjab Kings Gear up for mini-auction – Preity along with her IPL franchise Punjab Kings are gearing up for the IPL 2023 mini-auction which will take place in Kochi on December 23.  Ahead of the 2023 IPL season, the Kings have begun the process of introducing their new team.

They still need to fill 9 spots in their squad, 3 of which are designated for foreign players. In contrast to the team’s total of 16 players retained, 9 players have been released. All nine IPL franchises now have the opportunity to sign those nine players. The IPL auction has 991 players enrolled this year, and PBKS is hoping to buy 9 of them who are on the long list.

62.80 Cr rupees had already been spent by the DC to retain the 16 players. With the remaining balance of 32.20 Cr, it must cover the 9 player vacancies in its squads. Each team must stay under the INR 95 crore salary cap in the IPL auction 2023. This amount represents a 5 Cr increase over the prior season.

Mayank Agarwal will be replaced as the captain of the Punjab Kings by Shikhar Dhawan. Former South African fast Charl Langeveldt has been named the team’s new bowling coach, and former Australian wicketkeeper-batter Brad Haddin has been named the franchise’s new assistant coach. Additionally, they have retained Wasim Jaffer as their batting coach.
