IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians pacers Jason Behrendorff and Jhye Richardson are having a perfect outing in the ongoing BBL. Playing for Perth Scorchers, the express pacers shared six wickets between them as they completely bamboozled the Melbourne Stars batting line-up. Picked up by the Men in Blue and Gold recently, Richardson is breathing fire in BBL. The speedster completely blew away Star’s batting line-up. The right-arm pacer completed his four-over quota after scalping four wickets. He bowled at an excellent economy rate of 6.2.
To note, Richardson bagged his wickets in clusters. He had the chance to grab a hat-trick twice, but he failed on both occasions. The 26-year-old has also become the second-leading wicket-taker in the competition. In BBL 2022, Richardson has played five games and scalped 12 wickets so far. The right-arm pacer has been regularly clocking the 145kmph mark.
Another MI pacer, Behrendorff also bowled a decent burst against the Stars. The left-arm quick scalped two wickets and was quite economical as well. He gave away just 22 runs in his four-over quota. Speaking about his performance in BBL 2022 so far, the 32-year-old has played 5 matches and has taken nine wickets so far.
Behrendorff has previously represented MI in IPL. Speaking about his IPL numbers, the speedster has played five matches. In those five games, he has taken the same number of wickets. He bowls at an economy rate of 8.68 which is quite reasonable considering he bowls in the field restrictions and death overs.
