Rahul Tripathi continues to impress for the Sunrisers Hyderabad this season as the swashbuckling batsman scored a scintillating half century against former team Kolkata Knight Riders. During his innings, Tripathi went past 1500 IPL runs, becoming the first player to achieve that milestone as an uncapped Indian.

Tripathi made a record during his innings in the match. He now holds the record for the most runs for an uncapped player. The other uncapped players in the top 3 are Manan Vohra (1054 runs) and Manvinder Bisla (798 runs). While Vohra has played 49 matches, Bisla has appeared in 39 games.

Tripatji eventually scored 71 off just 37 balls as Sunrisers Hyderabad made light work of their chase against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Tripathi, who featured for the Knights over the past few years, took attack to his former team on hi sway to a counter-attacking fiftyu, helping his team to three consecutive wins in IPL 2022.
