1. Chennai Super Kings – Deepak Chahar
Chennai Super Kings are not known for spending heavily on a particular player, but they made an exception in IPL 2022, signing Deepak Chahar for a hefty price tag of INR 14 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad might have spent heavily on players who have not proven their mettle, but at INR 4.20 crores, they got an absolute steal in Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The veteran Indian pacer has picked up 142 wickets in 132 matches in IPL and was seen in his usual rhythm in the T20I series against West Indies.

5. Kolkata Knight Riders – Shreyas Iyer
When it comes to Kolkata Knight Riders, skipper Shreyas Iyer seems to be the most important piece of their jigsaw. Not only is he a good leader, but Iyer also boasts of impressive numbers in this competition. He has scored 2375 runs in 87 matches at an average of over 30.
6. Lucknow Super Giants – Jason Holder
West Indian all-rounders are proven match-winners in this format of the game and new franchise Lucknow Super Giants have got themselves a big asset in Jason Holder. The 30-year-old, who was bought for INR 8.75 crore, has scored 189 runs and has picked up 35 wickets in his 26 matches in the IPL.

7. Gujarat Titans – Lockie Ferguson
Kiwi speedster Lockie Ferguson had a fantastic season for Kolkata Knight Riders last season, which helped him earn an INR 10 crore contract from Gujarat Titans. Overall, he has picked up 24 wickets in 22 IPL appearances at an economy rate of 8.11 runs per over.
8. Mumbai Indians – Ishan Kishan
Mumbai Indians went all guns blazing for Ishan Kishan and secured the services of the young wicketkeeper-batter for a humongous price tag of INR 15.25 crore. He has played 61 matches in the IPL, in which he has scored 1452 runs at an average of nearly 30 and a strike rate of 136.33.

9. Rajasthan Royals – Yuzvendra Chahal
