Marsh shows vintage form – The Australian was seen in vintage form as he scored a quick fire fifty despite DC losing Srikar Bharat on the second ball of the innings. David Warner who was batting at the other was seen taking a slow approach as while Marsh was firing on all cylinders. His innings consisted of five fours and seven sixes as he was striking the ball all over the park.

The Aussie show as Mitchell misses out on hundred – After losing Bharat, RR got off to a best possible start, however that was the only piece of happiness for them. The Aussie pair of Marsh and Warner put together staggering 144-run stand as they steered DC to a comfortable position in the match. Had Mitchell scored a hundred he would have joined an elite group of Australians to have scored hundred in the IPL which includes David Warner, Shane Watson and Adam Gilchrist and would have been the eight Aussie to achieve the feat.

DC keep playoff hopes alive – Mitchell Marsh’s all-round performance has kept the playoff hopes alive for DC as they registered sixth win of the campaign and are now within two points of the playoff berth. The match-winning performance has given DC enough lift as they stretch the race for the playoff spot alongside RCB and SRH. DC currently have 12 points and will have to probably win their remaining two games to guarantee a final four place.
