Steve Smith: The Australia superstar needs to introduction. However, a wide number of factors are responsible for the Australian batter to be sold at the base price in IPL 2022 mega auction. Smith had a relatively average season in IPL last year. He managed to score 152 runs in 8 matches with an average of 25.33. The 2.20 Cr salary of 31-year-old batter is likely to be reduced to a great extent when the 10 franchises bid for him in February.

The 10 teams will be eager to pick the 35-year-old Irish batsman at the base price in IPL 2022 mega auction, rather than matching his previous salary of 5.25 Cr.
