IPL 2022: From Kuldeep Yadav to Rashid Khan, check out 5 players who punished their old clubs ahead of Warner vs SRH & Hardik Pandya vs MI

1- Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav has made a huge impression while carrying the Delhi Capitals (DC) jersey after being released by his former franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Kuldeep has 17 wickets in 9 games for the Capitals, including a couple of four-wicket hauls. Both of his four-fers have come against KKR. Kuldeep returned with figures of 4/35 in the first game against KKR.

DC won by 44 runs after bowling KKR out for 171 runs while chasing a 216-run target. The spinner had figures of 4/14 in three overs in the second game at Wankhede Stadium. DC chased down the target with four wickets in hand after restricting the Knight Riders to 146/9 in 20 overs.

2- Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during the mega auctions, and the left-handed all-rounder has shown to be a valuable asset to the team. Krunal has played two matches against his former side, the Mumbai Indians (MI), and has performed admirably, especially in the second one. The two teams first met at Brabourne Stadium, where the LSG scored 199/4 in 20 overs before restricting MI to 181/9 and winning by 18 runs.

Pandya finished with stats of 0/16 in two overs, remaining unbeaten at 1 of 1. However, in the second encounter, the left-hander made a strong comeback, taking three wickets for 19 runs in four overs. LSG defeated MI by 36 runs after restricting them to 132/8 while chasing 169.

3- Jason Holder

Jason Holder has proved to be a valuable all-rounder for the Lucknow Super Giants after being released by his former team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). LSG faced SRH in the season’s 12th match. The Super Giants scored a solid 169 runs batting first. Lucknow bowlers, on the other hand, did an excellent job of keeping the game in control.

KL Rahul gave the ball to Jason Holder, who was playing against his former team for the first time. Holder had given up 31 runs without taking a wicket in his previous three overs. However, the all-rounder came through in the final over, taking three wickets and putting the run chase on hold. Holder eventually finished his four overs with figures of 3/34.

4- Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He was purchased by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) last year after being released by RCB. The Royals, on the other hand, chosen not to retain Dube, who was signed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the IPL 2022 mega auction.

In the 22nd match of IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the all-rounder smashed a magnificent 95* off 46 balls against RCB. CSK scored 216 for four while batting first, with the left-handed batter hitting five fours and eight sixes. Dube was named Player of the Match, as Chennai earned their first win of the season.

In the SRH vs GT clash on April 27, Rashid smashed 31 runs off just 11 balls to help his team win the match. In the final over, GT needed 22 runs, and Rashid Khan whacked three sixes to take his team home.
