Harshal Patel (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – Rs 76,78,000 per wicket – Purchased for Rs 10.75 crore, Harshal is the defending Purple Cap holder and has cost RCB a whopping Rs 76, 78,000 for one wicket. Harshal’s return of 14 wickets this season is still a good package to have.
Shardul Thakur (Delhi Capitals) – Rs 1,19,44,000 per wicket – Shardul Thakur was of the hottest topics in the IPL auctions and considering his return he has been a mishit with his one wicket costing almost Rs 1 crore and 20 lakh. Shardul has so far scalped nine wickets this season and has been a shadow of himself so far in the tournament.

Prasidh Krishna (Rajasthan Royals) – Rs 76, 92,300 per wicket – Prasidh Krishna was one of the hottest properties in the IPL last season as Rajasthan Royals (RR) decided to splash the cash. In terms of the return, he has done well as his one wicket averages almost Rs 77 lakhs, but for a bowler of his caliber, it is a manageable affair.
Avesh Khan (Lucknow Super Giants) – Rs 62, 52,000 per wicket – Avesh has been one of the most coveted bowlers in recent time and LSG went big for him as they paid a whopping sum of Rs 10 crore for him. The bowler has so far repaid the faith with a net return of 16 wickets which averages little more than Rs 62 lakh per wicket.
Shahrukh Khan (Punjab Kings) – Rs 9, 18,000 per run – Shahrukh has been paid heavily in this IPL 2022 campaign and considering his price tag and runs, so far he has been a big flop. The PBKS are paying him a staggering Rs 9 lakh per run as he has managed to score only 98 runs in the tournament.

Rahul Tewatia (Gujarat Giants) – Rs 4, 18, 000 per run – Considering where he bats and his match-winning ability, Rahul Tewatia looks like the bargain of the season for Gujarat Titans. He has so far scored 215 runs while batting at sixth position, his price tag of Rs 9 crore looks like a good return as he averages little more than Rs 4 lakh per run.
Washington Sundar (Sunrisers Hyderabad) – Rs 13, 88,000 per run – It is hard to make a case for Washington Sundar as he has had a mixed IPL, but his performance index suggests otherwise. With 63 runs and four wickets, Washington has been average this season as his one run costs SRH almost Rs 14 lakh while his one wicket is valued at Rs 2.20 crore.
