From one Australian to another, Glenn Maxwell came to bowl in the sixth over and took very little time to send his fellow compatriot packing. A length ball around the off-stump saw Wade attempting to play a sweep. The ball misses the bat and hits the pads and the finger of the umpire goes up accordingly.
Almost immediately Matthew Wade asks for a review from the third umpire. The DRS shows three red dots, fair delivery and Wade has nothing to do but take a long walk back to the pavilion after managing to score just 16 runs. A disappointed Wade walks back to the pavilion shaking his head in anger.

Wade’s anger exploded once he reached his pavilion. He first throws away his helmet in anger and tries to swing his bat towards the wall. Finally, with utmost anger and frustration, Wade bashed his bat and broke it into pieces.
Batter getting frustrated after controversial outs is quite common in the game of cricket and Matthew Wade’s antics today are nothing exceptional but just an outflow of emotions of a cricketer. As for the teams, both RCB and GT are playing for the win. RCB needs to win this game at any cost to stay in contention for Playoffs. GT on the other hand have already qualified but would want to finish their group stage with a win.
