“You can still see the goosebumps. I am a big fan of Mahi bhai and especially CSK. It was a big deal for me to get picked by CSK. I can’t describe my excitement in words but I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t dance a lot by that day, I danced in my room in joy after my auction,” Shivam Dube said in an interview with CSK.

Shivam Dube had a decent IPL 2021 having turned out for Rajasthan Royals. He scored 230 runs and was even in the reckoning for an India comeback. Now that he has been picked by the CSK, he is banking on working with MS Dhoni to ace the IPL test.
“I had a chat with Mahi bhai yesterday. He asked me to do a few things and I told him definitely I will do it. When Mahi bhai asks you to do something, it feels like it will be done,” Shivam Dube said.

The Mumbai all-rounder burst into the scene thanks to his domestic exploits. With India searching for a seam-bowling all-rounder, he was fast-tracked to India team in 2019. However, he found no success and was promptly dropped after just one ODI and 9 T20Is.
“The attitude will remain the same. I have to do my best for the team’s cause which has always been my mission as a player. I will always be that way going forward. Now, I have grown in confidence,” Dube said.
