IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals might lose yet another 4 top players – As the IPL 2022 Mega Auction draws near, the 10 IPL franchise teams are gearing up to build the strongest team that they can. And in that, the Delhi Capitals can lose 4 of their top players apart from Marcus Stoinis who would be available in the auction. The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is scheduled to take place on 12th and 13th February in Bangalore. The new rules of IPL 2022 state that a team can retain 4 players and the Delhi Capitals have retained Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, and Anrich Nortje for this season.

Shikhar Dhawan has caught the attention of many teams ahead of IPL 2022 Mega Auction

Shikhar Dhawan: The 36-year-old batter needs no introduction for anyone. After being out of the Indian team for quite some time, Dhawan made a remarkable comeback to the team after his splendid performance against South Africa, in the recently concluded ODI series. In IPL 2021 he scored 587 runs in 16 innings with an average of 39.13. His current form will surely attract many buyers.

Shreyas Iyer is being targeted by the other teams which might see him not being retained by Delhi Capitals

Shreyas Iyer: The hard-hitting middle-order batsman is a phenomenal middle-order batsman. The 27-year-old player played 8 matches in IPL 2021 where he scored 175 runs at a healthy average of 35.00. Teams will be eager to pick up Iyer to bolster their middle-order and it could be highly likely that Delhi would be able to retain him.

Kagiso Rabada: The 26-year-old South African pacer is one of the most sought pacers for IPL 2022. In the previous edition of IPL Rabada picked 15 wickets in 15 games with an average of 30.40. One of the fiercest bowlers of the league has already caught the attention of the 9 teams and a bidding war for the Proteas bowler is likely to be expected which might see Delhi losing the player.

Avesh Khan’s excellent performance can see him move away from Delhi in IPL 2022

Avesh Khan: The 25-year-old fast bowler had a brilliant season with Delhi in IPL 2021 where he picked up 24 wickets in just 16 games with a wonderful average of 18.75. A player of his quality would be sought by the other teams and thus Delhi might find it very hard to retain the player.
