IPL 2022 Auction: 5 Indian players to go unsold in IPL 2022 Auction – With 2 days remaining for the much anticipated IPL 2022 Mega Auction, there are going to be quite a few big names that will be unsold in IPL 2022 Auction. The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will take place on 12th and 13th February in Bangalore while the main tournament is tentatively set to start from 27th March 27.

Cheteshwar Pujara is likely to go unsold in IPL 2022 Auction

Chestashwar Pujara: Predominantly a test cricket player, Chestaswar Pujara is likely to go unsold in IPL 2022. Pujara last played in the IPL in 2014. His IPL tally showcases Pujara having played just 30 games from 2010-14 where he has managed to score 390 runs at an average of 20.52. Even with a low base price of 50 lakhs, no team will be opting to buy this player.

Ajinkya Rahane will find it hard to find a team in IPL 2022 Auction

Ajinkya Rahane: Having dropped out of the Indian squad from the limited format of the game, Rahane has been quite a poor performer in IPL off late. In IPL 2021, he played just 2 games where he managed to score 8 runs. Going through a rough patch off late, teams will not be eager to buy Rahane for a base price of 1 Cr.

Hanuma Vihari: Among other names, Hanuma Vihari is a prominent name that will go unsold in IPL 2022 Auction. Having played his last IPL game in 2019, Vihari has played a total of 24 games where he has scored 284 runs. Vihari will go under the hammer for a base price of 50 lakhs, but it is very unlikely that any team will bid for him. 

 

Kedar Jadhav: Kedar Jadhav in all probability is set to be dumped in the upcoming IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Jadhav played 6 games in IPL 2021 where he scored just 55 runs with a poor average of 13.75. With the Sunrisers Hyderabad releasing him, no team will buy him at a base price of 1 Cr.

Jaydev Unadkat might find himself dumped in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction

Jaydev Unadkat: Unadkat was the highest-priced Indian among the bowlers in 2018 when he joined Rajasthan Royals in 2018 for a price of 11.5 Cr and was again brought in 2019 for 8.4 Cr, can possibly remain unsold in IPL 2022. Lack of form and fitness are some of the key factors for the downfall of this Indian pacer. In IPL 2021 he played just 6 matches where he picked up 4 wickets. Unadkat is likely to be dumped in the upcoming auction when he goes under the hammer at a base price of 75 lakhs.
