Holder gets the treatment from Russell – In the ninth over of the match Andre Russell unleashed himself as he showed no mercy against his fellow compatriot from West Indies. The over timeline read -1, 6, 6, 2, 6, 4 as Russell was seen sailing the ball out of the park on three occasions. The over also saw him take a double while ending the over with a four. Russell has been in superb nick of form this term with both bat and ball despite his team’s struggle.
Russell fights the fort alone for KKR – While Russell was seen in dazzling form, none of his other teammates were seen supporting him as KKR struggled in the contest. Russell’s innings of 45 runs came in 19 deliveries which included five sixes and three fours. He was also a chief contributor with the ball as he scalped two wickets in his three overs. The Caribbean star’s innings was the only positive for KKR on the night.

KKR go down in installments – When the going gets tough, the tough gets going as KKR are in crisis mode at the moment. Excluding Russell’s innings, the rest of the team put up just 56 runs which also included three extra runs. The entire season has been a disappointment for the team while Russell has been the alone star. KKR were bowled out for 101 in just 14.3 overs as their chances of finishing in the top four have dented with just three matches to go and 8 points.
