Posting the update on his Instagram page, Russell wrote, “As a ghetto yute I always dream big! But with hard work and sacrifice dreams become reality. god is good #🙏🙏🙏 big thanks to @autofashionandimports for making this possible nuff love. Big up bro @sunilnarine24″
The car is estimated to cost over 2 crore INR. Russell was retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for 12 lakhs ahead of this year’s IPL. He scored 335 runs in the season in 14 matches, that included two fifties. He was also the highest-wicket taker of the team by picking up 17 wickets in 14 matches.
Despite his good all-round show, his team failed to qualify for the playoffs as they were only managed to finish at seventh spot on the points table.
Russell is currently not part of the ongoing ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies, which is being played at Pakistan. He last played for West Indies in the 2021 T20 World Cup and he is expected to return to the side when the preparation for the T20 World Cup resumes.
