The incident happened just before the last over of the innings. Russell was standing near the boundary and with a towel in his right hand, he wooed the Wankhede crowd with his moves to a song being played at the ground. He was seen shaking his shoulders and swivelling the towel.

“Oh, these players from the Carribbean, even if they are not hammering sixes and taking wickets, they celebrate with their dance moves,” said Harsha Bhogle on air as soon as his dance moves were shown on TV.

The two-time champions, who are currently languishing at the bottom half of the points table, had a good outing on the field, after restricting Rajasthan Royals to just 152. Russell did not bowl in this game as KKR used only five bowlers against RR.

Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up two wickets. However he was the only bowler to concede more than 10 runs per over in his quota of 4 overs. Umesh Yadav, Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine and Shivam Mavi were all economical as they performed collectively to restrict Rajasthan Royals.

The bowlers would now hope their batsmen get to the total easily that would give them a much-needed victory in this season.
