Deepak Chahar: One of the biggest surprises in the IPL 2022 Auction was Chennai Super Kings who acquired Deepak Chahar for a whopping sum of 14 Crores. This was the first time CSK bid such a huge amount for any player in the auction. The recently turned all-rounder Chahar had a wonderful season in IPL 2021 where he picked 14 wickets in 15 matches. Rejoining CSK was a wonderful feeling for Deepak Chahar who would be willing to perform well to justify his high price.
Shardul Thakur: Lord Thakur as he is jokingly known was sold for 10.75 Crores to the Delhi Capitals. Thakur has performed well for the national side whenever he got the chance to play. For the Chennai outfits in IPL 2021, he played brilliantly after picking up 21 wickets in 16 matches with an average of 25.09. Thakur has been a great fit in the Delhi lineup and will surely spit venom with his performances.

Shivam Dube: Shivam Dube joined Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022 for a price of 4 Crores. The 28-year-old all-rounder had a wonderful season for the Rajasthan Royals where he scored 230 runs in 9 innings with an average of 28.75. This season Dube will be a vital asset for CSK and will be instrumental in both the batting and bowling prowess of the side.
Jason Holder: West Indies player Jason Holder joined debutant team Lucknow Super Giants for a high price of 8.75 Crores. Holder, who was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 had a wonderful season. He played 8 matches and scored 85 runs and scalped 16 wickets with a wonderful bowling average of 15.43. Holder will be a great addition to the LSG team.
Odean Smith: Odean Smith joined Punjab Kings for a price of 6 Crores. Odean Smith would be making a debut to IPL and the young all-rounder will be eager to imprint his mark in the league. Making his debut to the West Indies team a short while ago he has scored 144 runs and bagged 6 wickets in 5 ODI games. In T20Is he has picked 7 wickets in 7 innings. The pacer cum all-rounder has strengthened both the batting and bowling power of the team.
