IPL 2021: With No Jofra Archer in squad, Rajasthan Royals have only 3 bowling options- England on Sunday announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming ODI series. Jofra Archer was not named in the squad. He is returning to England for management and investigation for a right elbow injury that he sustained during the Test series. According to the ECB, Archer’s elbow issue has worsened during the recently concluded T20 series.

Archer was unfit for the selection. The ECB medical team will assess the player and, together with Jofra, develop a treatment plan and a return-to-play schedule in due course. As a consequence, Jofra will miss the start of this year’s Indian Premier League.

The development comes as a huge blow to Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2021.
