England tour of India – Shoulder Injury
T Natarajan was still recovering from a knee injury he was hit by a shoulder injury which ruled him out of the Indian team for the England series. After an impressive debut in Australia, Natarajan was scheduled to play his first international game in India. In the five-match series, he was featured in the last T20I match.
IPL 2021 – Knee Injury
Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer T Natarajan was ruled out of the IPL 2021 phase 1 due to a knee injury for which he will have to undergo surgery.
The 30-year-old Natarajan had played only two out of the four games for Sunrisers Hyderabad in phase 1. He originally sustained this injury during the tour of Australia.
India tour of England – Recovering from Knee Injury
T Natarajan also missed out on India’s tour of England as he was recovering from a knee injury at the time. His impressive performance in Australia would have given him a seat on a flight to England but unfortunately was it not meant to happen.
IPL 2021 phase 2 – Covid positive
Natarajan tested positive for COVID-19 at a scheduled RT-PCR test ahead of SRH’s first game in IPL 2021. The player has isolated himself from the rest of the squad. He is currently asymptomatic and there are six close contacts of the player who have been isolated. But the match between SRH and Delhi Capitals is on as the other players have tested negative.
As per the IPL release, the medical team has identified Vijay Shankar, Vijay Kumar (Team Manager), Shyam Sundar J (Physiotherapist), Anjana Vannan (Doctor), Tushar Khedkar (Logistics Manager) and Periyasamy Ganesan (Net Bowler) as the close contacts.
