IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians allrounder Kieron Pollard’s father passes away, cricket fraternity pours condolences- MI’s key player and West Indies limited-overs skipper Kieron Pollard’s father passed away on Wednesday. The allrounder hopped to Instagram to drop the sad news.
“Rest easy, peacefully and gracefully ..#loveyoualways Touched many hearts and souls. Will continue to make you proud. No more “tall boy” . I do know you are in a better place. #blessedandthankful” along with a picture of his father posing after winning the 2019 Indian Premier League title. In the second picture, he can be seen posing at the camera with his dad and in the picture, Pollard can be seen looking at the sky.

Pollard is expected to fly to India after completing the last rites. Mumbai Indians will face off Virat Kohli-led RCB in IPL 2021 opener on April 9.
Kieron Pollard’s father passes away
Reacting to the development, Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar offered condolences at the passing away of Pollard’s father.
“Just got to know about the demise of your father @KieronPollard55. My deepest condolences to you & all your family members in this hour of grief. May God give you the strength to overcome this loss,” Sachin Tendulkar wrote in a tweet post.
“Condolences brother,” wrote JP Duminy.
Pragyan Ojha replied, “Stay Strong.”
Team-mate SuryaKumar Yadav dropped, “RIP“.
