In a tweet post, KKR wrote, “Kuch din ki yeh majboori hai, lekin yeh doori bhi zaroori hai. Tere pyaar pe bharosa hai, kyunki #TuFanNahiTooFanhai. We will miss you, #Kolkata #IPL2021.” The lines were dedicated to the fans who will miss the IPL matches for the second straight season as crowds are not allowed in the upcoming season. Besides this, there will be no home fixtures for any IPL teams. KKR will play in Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla owned franchise will play their opening match of IPL 2021 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai on April 11.

Some of the players, including keeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Rahul Tripathi and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar have begun their quarantine starting Sunday. “It’s QUARANTIME and the #Knights are checking in for the season!” The beginning of the camp is just around the corner…” KKR said in a Tweet post.

Meanwhile, Andre Russell has also flown from his homeland and he is expected to join the KKR camp in the next 24 hours.

KKR had failed to progress to the playoffs of IPL 2020, ending at place 5 on the points table. Dinesh Karthik left his captaincy mid-way in the season and they switched to 2019 WC winning skipper Eoin Morgan for remaining fixtures.
