IND vs ENG 5th Test Trouble: It has emerged that physio Yogesh Parmar is the support staff who tested positive for Covid-19 in tests conducted on Wednesday.

All the Indian players returned a negative tests for the tests conducted on Wednesday. The players and other members of the team have again undergone another mandatory test for the virus – Reports for the same are still awaited

Though none of the players were found to be positive yet, the further spread of the virus within the team cannot be ruled out since most of the cricketers were in close contact of the support staff all through the last Test.

Following the positive test of the coaches last week, the entire team had undergone the RT-PCR test. The squad member who tested positive on Thursday was earlier negative.

The RT-PCR test reports of the players are still awaited.

All the players and the support staff are fully vaccinated but both teams are not operating in strict bio-bubbles with life in the UK almost back to normal.

Shastri is likely to have got the symptoms after attending the launch of his book in the team hotel where outside guests were also allowed.

Arun, Patel and Sridhar attended that function in person. India lead the five-match series 2-1.
