IPL 2021 – Halfway stage: 5 history-makers this season –  The first half of the IPL 2021 has come to completion. We have so far seen some of the most thrilling contests in the T20 league. From most sixes to wickets to fastest fifty, there is plenty to talk about. The tournament has seen some of the best matches, including a mouth-watering super over between DC and SRH. Today, we discuss 5 history-makers this season. They are Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, David Warner, Chris Gayle and MS Dhoni.

Virat Kohli (6000 runs)

RCB skipper Virat Kohli became the first batsman to complete 6,000 runs in the IPL. Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina are placed 2nd and 3rd in the list with 5508 and 5,491 runs.

AB DeVilliers (5,000 runs)

Mr. 360 aka AB De Villiers has became only the second overseas player to complete 5,000 runs in the IPL. David Warner is the first overseas player to complete 5,000 runs in the tournament.

David Warner (50 fifities)

Sunrisers Hyderabad opening batsman David Warner has completed a huge milestone in the cash-rich league. He now has most fifties in the cash-rich league. Shikhar Dhawan is placed second with 43 fifties.

Chris Gayle

The Punjab Kings opening batsman Chris Gayle smashed 350th six in the IPL. No player has even hit 300 sixes in the history of T20 league.

MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni became the first-ever captain to complete 200 matches in the IPL. He achieved the feat while representing CSK in their opening match against Punjab Kings.
