IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals pacers Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje leave for India ahead of IPL 2021- DC pacers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje are on their way to India after leaving the national team South Africa post 2nd ODI in their backyard. They will enter 7-day quarantine after arriving in Chennai. Thus, they will miss the opening match against CSK on April 11. The two players are key to the Delhi Capitals success in IPL 2021. While Kagiso Rabada was the highest wicket-taker (30 in 17 matches) in IPL 2021, Nortje is in fine form with 7 wickets in two ODIs. He had also claimed 22 wickets in 16 matches for DC last season.
“𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: The only #MondayMotivation you need @AnrichNortje02 & @KagisoRabada25 are ON THEIR WAY to #IPL2021,” wrote DC in a tweet post.

The absence of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje in their opening fixture means Umesh Yadav, Tom Curran and Ishant Sharma likely to play as three seamers. Meanwhile, R Ashwin and Amit Mishra might play as two spinners as Axar Patel is undergoing quarantine after testing COVID-19 positive.
