IPL 2021: DC’s Shikhar Dhawan aces Flute, plays Jagjit Singh’s song- Delhi Capitals and India opener Shikhar Dhawan, who is one of the talented stars on the field, is also known for his artistic nature. Months after grooving to Bhangra with Yuzvendra Chahal’s choreographer wife Dhanashree Verma, Dhawan has nailed it when it comes to playing the Flute. He played a famous song by the musician Jagjit Singh.

“Music for the soul. Stay calm, stay positive. Can you guess the song?” he captioned the Instagram video.

For those who don’t know, Dhawan has undergone professional training in Flute under Guru Venugopal.

“Hi guys. Wanted to share something that’s very dear to my heart n is different side to me. For last 3 yrs I’ve been learning the flute (my fav instrument). I’ve had the privilege of taking lessons with my Guru Venugopal Ji. I still have a long way to go but I’m glad I’ve started (sic),” Dhawan had said in 2019 as quoted by India Today.

Earlier, he had shared a dance video with Dhanashree as stated above.

Shikhar Dhawan is coming on the back of a good season in IPL. He amassed 380 runs in 8 matches for Delhi Capitals and he was placed on top of the Orange Cap leaderboard.

Dhawan is also the front runner for leading India’s second-string limited-overs side against Sri Lanka away from home in July. The BCCI is yet to announce the India squad for the upcoming series.

He is spending quality time with his family after IPL 2021 suspension amid rising cases of COVID-19. He has also donated Rs 20 lakh and other aids for Delhiites during the coronavirus crisis.
