IPL 2021: CSK CEO says, Suresh Raina joining CSK camp next week'

IPL 2021 – CSK Camp in Chennai: MS Dhoni and some of his other Chennai Super Kings team members are already in Chennai but for now all of them are just confined to their hotel rooms. According to CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan, team is not taking any chances this time and have entered BIO-BUBBLE.

The training of the team will only begin from Wednesday next week.

“The cricketers will be confined to their hotel rooms now. They will begin training only from March 9 once the mandatory clearances are done” said CSK CEO.

Currently apart from Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, N. Jagadeesan, Sai Kishore, and Hari Nishaanth are in Chennai for the CSK camp.

When is Suresh Raina joining CSK camp ?

Suresh Raina who missed out on IPL 2020 will be joining the squad next week. Raina is the second most senior-most player of the CSK squad and will be expected to lift the morale of the side and after extremely disappointing IPL 2020.

CSK coach Fleming coming on 18th March: Viswanathan said that the majority of the squad, along with head coach Stephen Fleming and the other overseas support staff, are expected to assemble around March 18.

Along with MS Dhoni, CSK’s bowling coach L.Balaji will be entrusted to look after the CSK camp beginning form next week.

CSK CEO added, “The international cricketers from the CSK, if they were already in a bubble, need not have to be quarantined. They can directly enter the bubble.”

When is Ravindra Jadeja coming in? Jadeja is currently at the National Cricket Academy under rehabilitation for this thumb injury. Jadeja is expected to join the CSK camp sometime only in April.
