IPL 2021: Abhishek Sharma of SRH breaks Virat Kohli’s record in List A cricket- Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Abhishek Sharma on Monday created a new record by going past Virat Kohli and Surya Kumar Yadav in List A cricket. The left-handed batsman smashed a 42-ball century, 2nd fastest hundred in List A cricket by an Indian player. He achieved the feat while playing against Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021.
Earlier this month, MI batsman SuryaKumar Yadav had struck a century off just 50 balls against Puducherry. Virat Kohli is third in the list with 52-ball hundred in the List A cricket. Yusuf Pathan has the fastest ton in List A cricket for India. He had scored a century off just 40 balls.
The 20-year-old had earlier scored a fifty against Jharkhand in the 50-over tournament.
Abhishek Sharma in IPL
Abhishek Sharma has shown his potential for the SRH in the IPL. Sharma took everyone by surprise during his first stint with SRH. He slammed a 19-ball 46 against RCB in 2018, batting against the likes of Trent Boult in the death overs.
Even though his stats do not speak much about him, Sharma helped SRH in a crucial league-stage match against CSK in IPL 2020. His 31 runs contribution with Priyam Garg helped the SRH post 164/5 on board after the SRH were 4 down for 69 in the 11th over. SRH won the close encounter against CSK by 7 runs.
The promising youngster was retained by the SRH for IPL 2021. He will only grow with the experience.

What to expect from Abhishek Sharma in IPL 2021
If Abhishek Sharma can continue his good form heading in the IPL, SRH will benefit a lot. The middle-order batsman plays at No.5 and 6 in IPL. Abhishek can assist another in-form batsman from Vijay Hazare Trophy, Kedar Jadhav to win plenty of matches for the orange army.
