The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has started off on a bad note. With-in the first week of teams landing in UAE, 12 members of the Chennai Super Kings squad have tested positive.
According to the information available with InsideSport, out of the total 12 members of CSK team, only 1 player (Indian Bowler, who is trying to make a comeback into the Indian team) has test positive and 11 other members of the support stuff have returned Covid-19 positive.
The IPL Governing Council is yet to make official announcement around the development. The big question doing the round is what will happen to CSK squad now, how badly will they impacted with spate of Covid-19 positives in the squad ?

All the members of the CSK who have tested positive for Covid-19 are stable and have been isolated. CSK are following all safety protocols, as per the directions of the health officials the Board of Control for Cricket in India SOP’S
CSK Bowler in question tested positive for Covid-19 on Days 1 and 3 of the mandatory testing period in Dubai. His report on the Day 6 of the quarantine is still awaited.
According to the BCCI SOPs, players and support staff who arrive in the UAE should give 3 Tests — Day 1, Day 3, and Day 6. After all three successful tests, players will be allowed to enter the bio-secure bubble.
The player and the support staff, according to the SOPs, will be in isolation for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks of isolation, the individual must return 2 negative PCR test reports done 24 hours apart before being permitted to re-enter the bio-secure environment.
The individual cannot also train during the 14-day isolation period and is advised complete rest. If the symptoms worsen then he/she would be shifted to a tournament accredited hospital.
Cardiac screening is also compulsory before resuming team activities.
All individuals within a Bio-Secure Environment will be tested every fifth day throughout the IPL 2020 season.
