Dream 11 IPL 2020: Indian Premier League 2020, which went on for almost two gruelling months in the UAE, finally ended with Mumbai Indians defeating Delhi Capitals in the final to lift their fifth IPL trophy. The tournament was no less than a rollercoaster-ride and it witnessed some magnificent fielding efforts.

There were some game-changing catches and some spectacular fielding displays that thrilled the eye of the fans. Here we take a look at them:
KXIP’s Nicholas Pooran’s astonishing fielding effort vs RR
This has to be on top of the list! KXIP cricketer Nicholas Pooran produced one of the best fielding efforts against the Rajasthan Royals in the match no.9 of IPL 2020 when he saved five vital runs for his side with superman effort.
It was in the eighth over of RR’s innings, when Sanju Samson pulled Murugan Ashwin’s short of a length delivery. It was destined to clear the ropes and it did, only for an out-stretched Pooran to catch the ball mid-air and throw it back into the field of play. All of that in a blink of an eye.
Pooran’s acrobatic skills drew applause from all quarters with legend Sachin Tendulkar calling it “the best save I have seen in my life”. His effort even brought a standing ovation and a salute from KXIP fielding coach, Jonty Rhodes, who is one of the best fielders the game has ever seen.

KKR’s Kamlesh Nagarkoti diving catch against RR
Kamlesh Nagarkoti pulled off a sensational running catch to get rid of Jofra Archer in the a between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.
Archer tried to hit a good length ball straight over the bowler’s head for six, but the ball gripped and held its line. It went high up in the air and Nagarkoti sensed an opportunity to take the catch and ran across from his position at long on to the front of long-off.
The youngster was so committed to take the catch that he made a right jump in a fantastic fashion and grabbed the ball successfully.

Devdutt Padikkal’s stunning diving catch against MI
Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Devdutt Padikkal was brilliant against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 match no. 48 as he not only proved his worth with the bat from but also established his importance in the field.
On the fourth ball of the 11th over in MI’s chase of 165 runs, Mohammed Siraj bowled a good-length ball to Saurabh Tiwary, who drove it uppishly towards mid-off. Padikkal, stationed there, leapt forward and took the catch with the ball only a few inches clear of the ground.
The opening batsman from Karnataka, who scored his fourth IPL fifty earlier in the match, was ecstatic and celebrated this dismissal exuberantly.

CSK’ MS Dhoni’s full-length dive against DC
Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni once again displayed why he is still one of the best wicketkeeper of the modern era when he took a stunning to dismiss the Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer in the match no.7 of IPL 2020.
Dhoni dived his full length on the final delivery of the 19th over to get the big wicket of Shreyas Iyer, who ended up edging the ball in an attempt to play a big shot.

SRH’s Manish Pandey’s blinder against Mumbai Indians
Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Manish Pandey took a stunning catch to get rid of Mumbai Indians’ swashbuckling batsman Ishan Kishan during the match no.17 of the tournament.
On the last ball of the 15th over, which was bowled by Sandeep Sharma, Kishan flat-batted the lofted drive to the right of long-on hoping that he will get a boundary. However, Pandey rushed across from long-on, threw himself at the ball – was parallel to the ground when he completed the two-handed catch.
