IPL 2020 : Sunrisers Hyderabad Jonny Bairstow set to join Big Bash League

The top England players are not only in demand for the Indian Premier League but also for the Big Bash League’s forthcoming season. 

According to Daily Mail, Jonny Bairstow who is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season of IPL is all set to join the Big Bash League franchise of Melbourne Stars. 

Jason Roy who pulled out from Delhi Capitals squad this IPL is reportedly joining Perth Scorchers and his teammate Joe Denly is likely to get in action for Melbourne Renegades team in Big Bash. 
World’s No.1 ranked T20 player David Malan is poised to sign with Hobart Hurricanes. Tom Banton and Liam Livingstone, two participants from 2019-20, are set to feature again in the Big Bash. 

English players are in demand with the eight Big Bash franchises as the competition looks to offset the loss of its homegrown players to international bubbles. 

Big Bash League ready to pay more more overseas signings especially top English players

Cricket Australia under pressured from the official broadcast partners are going all out to sign the top quality players for the Big-Bash. The official broadcast partners of CA Chanel Seven had raised questions on the quality of players in the Big Bash this season. Citing the reason the broadcaster had put the Australian board on notice. 

To overcome the crisis CA and its officials are going all out to do biggest of the signings this year for Big Bash. That is the reason, Big Bash is also ready to pay higher amounts to the star players to play in the league. The contracts which usually are in the range of 60-80 Lacs can now go beyond the price tag of 1 Cr per player. 

The increase in the price pot for the players will taken care by the Central Pool. 

Cricket Australia have appointed Trent Woodhill as a player acquisition consultant in a bid to attract the highest calibre of imports possible – Woodhill was recently with the Australian team as batting coach on the limited-overs tour of England.

According to the report, enquiries are also being made to Ben Stokes & Jos Butler for Big Bash Deals. But both are unlikely to sign as they will be busy with the Test duties with the national team for the tour of Sri Lanka and India in early 2021.
