IPL 2020 : Star Sports celebrates ‘Rivalry Week’ in Dream11 IPL 2020, Check the Live Streaming details

As the Dream11 IPL 2020 slowly nears the business end, teams have been throwing the kitchen sink in every match in a bid to seal a berth for the playoffs. As the excitement reaches a notch higher, Star Sports, official broadcasters of the Dream11 IPL 2020, celebrates ‘Rivalry Week’ for viewers and fans, that gets underway from October 23-29th.

The high-octane week will witness four teams – Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders – locking horns in an equally weighted bout. It all begins with the ‘El Clasico’ of the IPL – defending champions Mumbai Indians squaring off with Chennai Super Kings – today at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium. While MI look certain to qualify for the playoffs, this season the pendulum has wildly oscillated for MS Dhoni & Co. The Yellow Army can, however, use this encounter to prove a point and replicate their performance from the tournament opener where they defeated the Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets.

The MI-CSK is one of the oldest and fiercest rivalry in the history of the IPL which has witnessed some epic moments. Recalling that famous send-off dished out by Dwayne Bravo to Kieron Pollard during the MI-CSK IPL 2012 eliminator, Bravo said on Star Sports, “Pollard sent me a WhatsApp message saying, ‘Pack your bags. You are going home.’ And I was like ok, no problem. CSK qualified and had to play Mumbai in the playoffs. And who was the person going home? Pollard. That’s why I gave him the send-off.”

Reminiscing the 2013 finals against Mumbai Indians, CSK veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh told Star Sports, “The 2013 finals was a great game. It was satisfying thing to beat CSK since they had beaten MI in the previous finals. The rivalry quotient had increased from then.”

The next match of the ‘Rivalry Week’ will be RCB and CSK on October 25th in Dubai. All eyes will be on this exhilarating clash which will see King Kohli go head on with MSD. Kohli & Co. will be itching to continue with their newfound form, but CSK can prove to be no pushovers and will certainly not go down without a fight.
Rohit Sharma will then marshal his troops against RCB on October 28th in Abu Dhabi as teams’ eye for the top spot. RCB had snatched the match from MI in an exciting super over earlier in the tournament in Dubai. Can an in-form RCB be a roadblock in MI’s smooth progression towards the final? King Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders will then lock horns with CSK on October 29th in Dubai in an encounter where plenty of fireworks are expected with both sides having batsmen who can clear the huge Dubai boundaries at ease.

Fans can catch the Rivalry week exclusively on the Star Sports Network & Disney+ Hotstar VIP between 23rd to 29th October from 7:30 PM onwards
