Royal Challengers Bangalore are all set to enter the Indian Premier League 2020 with an all new look, except for their key players on the field. The change was speculated for long, after the team had put the message “we are building a better website” on the Royalchallengers.com home page.
It was further confirmed today when the United Spirits owned-team also withdrew all posts and pictures from its social media platforms.
What InsideSport can confirm at this stage, the ‘Bangalore’ is out of the Virat Kohli-led team’s name. It might well be replaced with ‘Bengaluru’ the present name of the city the team represents in the IPL.
The franchisee had already removed “Bangalore” from name on the official Royal Challengers twitter handle.
A formal announcement on the change of the name and the logo is expected shortly, which will coincide with the launch of the new Royal Challengers website.

The team has already announced a new title sponsor – Muthoot Finance – on Tuesday.
The team with the new look will also eye for an upswing in its fortunes to put its hand on a maiden IPL title, which has eluded them despite having some of the best talent in their ranks.
