Both the teams are coming into the game on the back of contrasting results. While RCB won their opening game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, KXIP lost their opener against Delhi Capitals after the game went into super over.

Ahead of RCB vs KXIP, take a look at milestones which can be achieved during the match:

Kohli can become the first player to score 5500 IPL runs

RCB skipper Kohli, who is a top scorer in IPL, has scored 5,426 runs in the tournament at an average of 37.68. He is 74 runs short of completing 5500 runs and can achieve the milestone on Thursday, given that he is the highest run-scorer against KXIP when it comes to playing for a single outfit. Kohli has scored a total of 632 runs against KXIP in 23 matches while playing for Bangalore.

Kohli can equal Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan’s record

Kohli, who has 36 IPL half-centuries to his name, need one more fifty to equal Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan’s record of 37 half-centuries. Top on the list is SRH skipper David Warner with 44 half-centuries, while CSK batsman Suresh Raina is second on the list with 38 fifties.

Dale Steyn 3 wickets away from a century

RCB pacer Steyn needs 3 more wickets to complete his 100 IPL wickets. The South African has bagged 97 wickets till now in 93 matches at a strike rate of 21.94. His best bowling figures are 3/8 which he recorded while playing for Deccan Chargers against RCB in IPL 2012.

Chris Gayle 142 runs away from 1000 IPL runs for KXIP

Windies swashbuckling batsman Gayle has been a key performer in IPL history and he is currently the sixth-highest run-getter in IPL, with 4,484 runs in 125 matches. The 41-year-old needs 142 runs more to complete his 1000 runs for KXIP and it would take nothing less than a ‘Gayle Storm’ if the batsman aims to achieve the feat in today’s game against RCB.

Not to forget, Gayle holds the record for the highest individual score in the history of the IPL as he slammed an unbeaten 175 off just 66 deliveries against the now-defunct Pune Warriors India in the 2013 edition of the tournament. So, nothing is impossible for him.

AB de Villiers 54 runs away from 4500 IPL runs

RCB batsman AB de Villiers, who got a fine fifty in the first match, is 54 runs away from 4500 IPL runs. ‘Mr 360’ has till now scored 4446 runs in IPL at an impressive strike rate of 151.43. He got 3 tons and 34 half-centuries to his name.
