It was a bad day at the office for Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli as nothing went right for him. His team suffered a crushing five-wicket defeat at the hands of Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. Moreover, Kohli failed to deliver with the bat too, scoring just 9 off 14 balls.
On the other hand, MI batsman SuryaKumar Yadav was on song as he smashed 79 runs in 43 balls, which included 10 fours and 3 sixes, to lead his side to an important victory which saw MI extending their lead at the top of the points table 16 points in their kitty and with it they have almost secured their qualification to the playoffs this season.
Meanwhile, during the 13th over of the MI’s innings, Kohli was seen walking up to Suryakumar and saying something while shining the ball. However, the right-handed batsman didn’t let Kohli get under his skin as he stared at the RCB skipper before the latter came and stood right beside the batsman.
Surya, however, kept his composure and displayed remarkable maturity by just walking away from Kohli.
Here’s the video of the incident:
I don’t know whether it was about the selection or not but what Kohli has done today was not in good taste.
No matter why Naseeruddin Shah called him world’s worst behaved cricketer.

Meanwhile, Surya’s knock also earned him the player of the match.
“I was looking to finish the game. I was looking to learn what my game is. Happy to have finished it. Lot of meditation has helped. I have worked on my game during the lockdown. I used to love playing on the on-side before. Pleased to have finished the game. The team management told me before the start of the tournament told me that you have played enough to take the game deep,” said Suryakumar after his Man of the Match display.
