Kolkata Knight Riders have acquired Mumbai Indians batsman Siddhesh Lad in the pre-auction trading window for the Indian Premier League 2020.

“Mumbai batsman Siddhesh Lad will turn out for Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming season of the VIVO IPL following a successful trade by Mumbai Indians,” IPL has stated on a its official website.

Lad, who was with Mumbai Indians since 2015, played his first IPL game last season when he was included in the playing XI as captain Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the game against Kings XI Punjab owing to an injury. He hit a six off the first ball he faced and scored 15 runs from 13 balls in his debut game.

Mumbai Indians also traded West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford from Delhi Capitals while releasing spinner Mayank Markande, who has now been traded from Delhi Capitals to Rajasthan Royals. Al eight franchises will be submitting their final retention list to the BCCI by 5 pm on Friday.

The IPL trading window concluded yesterday (Thursday). All the deals are not announced as yet.
